Spontaneity is the key
Did you notice the colorful characters walking around the universities in Zurich carrying huge speech bubbles? Well, if you missed them, here is how they looked like:
Blueberry, Berry, Strawberry, Orange and Apple for you!
What the f***!
The whole purpose of this fruitful commando was to spice up everyday’s life with a touch of fun and excitement! It is one of those things that you normally would not expect to see in the real world. One of those things that does not match the common rules, but that fascinates our innermost fantasy by the way it stands out.
Five professional actors from the Freie Theatergruppe Zurich (FTZ) decided to surprise university students with improvisation performances together with Spocal. Wearing bright, and rather tight fruit costumes the actors shared their thoughts on huge speech bubbles to invite students to interact with them. What happened?
It was amazing to see the reactions to the spontaneous expressions and invitations. While some students were a little shocked and kind of skeptical, the vast majority replied with a big smile to the open questions posed to them. Here some impressions:
Wanna get coffee? - on the other side of the speech bubble =)
“Coffee?” – To which these guys replied, “Sure, but you mean, NOW, and wearing THAT?”
"Chunnt öpper spontan ufs Tram? Egal Wohere..."
“Anyone up for a tram ride? No matter where to!” Which led to….
On the ride!
And the question that got the most answers: “Which fruit are you?” – We heard all sorts of fruits, but Apple and Kiwi were by far the most common ones.
"Welli Frucht bisch du?"
Cool and now…?
It is all about encouraging you to stand out and share your thoughts, as if you could leave a speech bubble anywhere you went to. You will be surprised by the positive answers and empathy of those around you. Go ahead and give it a try! We will be happy to hear your stories!
