Team

Spocal was born in Zurich with the highest Swiss standards: precise as a Swiss watch, useful as a Swiss Army Knife and addictive as Swiss chocolate! The people behind Spocal are a team of passionate internet entrepreneurs with high ambitions.

Gerhard Bliedung – Head of Ultra-Usable Eye Candy

Gerhard comes from further up in the North, from Germay. With super designer and UX skills he leads the mission to surprise the Spocalers with an Ultra-usable Eye candy: A product experience that is so engaging and addictive that you cannot keep your eyes and fingers off of it. His passion for design and esthetics have come to revolutionize the team, the product and our image. Do not hesitate to contact him at: gerhard [at] spocal.net

Jana Krause – The all-day-long-talking student

Talking is her passion. Well, why not working as “The Voice” at Spocal then? Would there have been a better job?? We don’t think so… that’s why Jana is responsible for Marketing and Community Building at Spocal. Before Spocal she worked in the web team of IKEA Switzerland.
Besides talking to you, you can find her in economic classes at the University of Zurich. So don’t be shy and share her passion: write her an email and start chatting under jana [at] spocal.net.

Wolf Vollprecht – Likes coffee and making websites

Wolf has a passion for software that is beautiful from the inside and the outside. He works as a webdeveloper and sometimes writes open source software for linux — while still trying to study mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich.
He always appreciates new mail in his inbox: wolf [at] spocal.net

Flavio Pfaffhauser – CTO & Co-Founder

Flavio was born in Switzerland and holds a MSc in Computer Science from ETH Zurich. During his studies he led one of Europe’s biggest junior enterprises as CTO and spent an exchange year at University of Washington in Seattle. Before Spocal, Flavio was the first employee at Memonic. He has not only reached the coding Nirvana but has developed a super-human sense for design, UX and photography. Reach him at: flavio [at] spocal.net

Cristian Grossmann – CEO & Co-Founder

Cris was born and grew up in Mexico City. He got his undergrad in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich. Cris got pretty much all possible medals there are to get at ETH Zurich: one for being top of his class during his Bachelors and Masters and one for his PhD thesis. He then worked as a first employee in a biotech startup and as an IT strategy consultant in the financial and public sector. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, he had the founders virus from pretty early on and simply couldn’t resist devoting his everything to building Spocal. He will be more than happy to hear from you: cristian [at] spocal.net

  1. Hey there at Spocal

    Silvio
